During the Covid-19 epidemic, we’ve been doing lots of things to keep our members fit and having fun while in lockdown. We have launched a dedicated Centurions fitness page in the middle of March as a place where people could share challenges, drills and generally keep each other motivated on what they were doing to stay fit and healthy – physically as well as mentally.
One of our coaches, Jen, does a regular Tuesday HIIT and we started a Centurions Strava group to keep things competitive. For fun, we’ve hosted touch watch parties, run quizzes, recorded group passing videos and announced our squads for the year, in the vague hope we might get to see some competitive touch action this year!
We’ve enjoyed taking a different approach to training and keeping each other up to date, but won’t deny that we can’t wait to get back in action as soon as we can. We were especially looking forward to a whole host of players making their competitive Centurions debut in May which will have to wait.
